A Heavenly Mindset (Sept 2, 2021)

Colossians 3:1-4 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Quick Word: A Heavenly Mindset: Navigating the ups and downs of life can be challenging for even the most mature believer. On occasion all of us are taken off course by the the things that happen in our lives to include our own responses. In my household, my wife and I have a saying that has help us navigate the last 23 plus years that being you can choose your sins but not the consequences. Simply stated when life comes at us, we can choose how to respond but we cannot control the reactions. This text reminds us that as believers in Christ to set our minds on things above where Christ sits:

- A Heavenly mindset requires a Heavenly focus.. - A Heavenly mindset reminds us that our old sin nature has been exchanged for by our new relationship in Christ Jesus.. - A Heavenly mindset assures our relationship with God and when he appears we will be with him in Glory..
