Early in my ministry I was blessed to spend time with Pastors and Senior Ministers. I learned during these times whether in a meeting or a period of fellowship, that they were opportunities to glean from those who had experienced the challenges of ministry. One particular minister on occasion would say to encourage me during those difficult times of ministry that every now and then God will wink at you. In other words, every now and then God will allow you to feel his presence in such an intimate way that it is as if he is winking and saying let me remind you of who I am. Spending time with my family and friends and the love shown by friends and persons I’ve ministered to and with on yesterday was one of those days where God winked at me. Every now and then , God simply reminds us of who He is.

- He is God and God all by Himself.

-He is omnipotence, omnipresent and omniscience.

- He is a Healer, Deliverer, and a Way-Maker

My brothers and sisters, just because of who the Lord is, His name is worthy to be praised. His name is worthy because He is immutable, His name is worthy because He is immovable, His name is worthy because He is self-sufficient, His name is worthy because He is wise, He is just and and faithful. The Psalmist pens it best of all when he wrot about the Lord “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same. His name is worthy to be praised.“

Let’s pray: Dear God in Heaven, we paused right now to lift up your name. Your name reminds us of your sovereign power. In your name is power, in your name is peace, in your name is protection, in your name are provisions. We lift up your name today from the rising of the sun until it’s going down. Lord, if you don’t do anything else, you have already done enough. Amen
