Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Quickword: Be anxious for nothing

Like many of you all , I am consciously aware of the situations, circumstances and events that are unfolding before us almost on a daily basis. The continued and viscous divide in political discourse from the National, State and local governments. The divide over policy of gun regulations as a result of the number of mass shootings that occur in this country. The increase cost in everything most noticeably gas, food and the basic needs of life. The current environment is enough for even the strongest believer to be anxious. In Phillipiams, the sage Apostle Paul offers words of encouragement to the church at Philippi that are relevant to you and I today: Be Anxious for Nothing!

- The word of God encourages us to be not anxious for anything ( food, shelter, relationships, sickness, finances, etc)

- The word of God instructs us to take everything to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

- The word of God reminds us that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

My brothers and my sisters, the truth of the matter is there comes a time in all of our lives where lives when the realities of life will cause us to become anxious. The good news is when that occurs we can take EVERYTHING to God in prayer. I’m looking for a witness today who will testify that God has, God will and God is, even now giving me a peace that surpasses all understanding. Our faith in Christ Jesus allows us to meet the challenges of life head on through the power of prayer. Be anxious for Nothing; I’ve got a feeling everything is going to be alright!

Ok preacher you have your witness. I do believe the peace that God gives is a hallmark of faith in the works. It keeps us focus on things other than of this world. God is truly a good God and nothing can be so anxious as for me not taking it to God in prayer. Amen brother Amen. Preacher. To God be the glory.
