Psalms 46:10-11

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Quickword: Be Still

Advent season is an amazing time of the year. A time when we celebrate the birth of the Messiah who will save His people from their sins, yet the advent season is a busy season. We are a society that is constantly on the go. We are busy with raising families, jobs, school, relationships and even in this season shopping, parties and travel just to name a few things. This morning, I want to encourage you to“ Be Still“. Be still and spend some time with God. When was the last time you were intentional about spending time with God? Hear me clearly, I know you have a lot to do, I’m not criticizing anyone who is busy and productive, yet I want to encourage you to take some time , Be Still, talk, listen and commune with God! There is a blessing in being still:

- God reminds us that He is still God

- God reminds us that He is exalted among the nations and in the earth

- God reminds us that He is with us!

Take five minutes, find you a place where your time with God us uninterrupted. You may have to sit in your car or take a minute in the bathroom or closet but do it. There is nothing you can’t tell God and in these moments, the decisions that you are making, the directions that you desire, the answers that you are waiting on are heard in the stillness. Be Still….
