Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Quickword: Choose This Day…

We are living in some critical times, times in which I believe we need to be intentional of whom we take our direction. Many have decided that following the Lord is not for them. Many have decided they will pledge allegiance to other gods, little g. This text in Joshua is clear, each leader or head of household must decide whom they will follow.

- Some have decided that it is evil to serve the Lord.

- Some have decided that other gods

(money, fame, political power, etc…) will be whom they will follow

- Some have decided to serve the Lord.

My brothers and my sisters, there will come a time when we will all have to make a choice of whom we will serve. This text clearly suggest the urgency of that decision. The writer says choose you this day whom ye will serve. It is not my intent to pass judgment on anyone, yet I’ve decided that me and my house will serve the Lord. We will serve the Lord through the good and the bad, we will serve the Lord regardless of our situations or circumstances. We have decided to serve the Lord because of His Grace and Hus mercy. We have decided to serve the Lord because of His love poured out on us. It‘s your choice, just know that the choice you make has eternal consequences.
