Quickword: He Shall Save His People
Last night my wife and I walk through an exhibit call the Festival of Light. It was a mile walk though a park where everything was adorned with lights, trees, buildings, fence, mostly choreographed to music. it was at the last station that blessed me the most. A local radio station sponsored the light show and story telling of the birth of the Christ. When they concluded the story, I said i though to myself but I said it out loud, tell the story. My wife said to me while laughing, enjoy the Christmas story, don’t run to Easter. She was correct, I love the Christmas story no doubt, but I wanted to give an invitation to Christ on the park grounds. You know the story...
- A virgin shall bring forth a child
- This child will be named Jesus
- Jesus will save His people from our sins.
A week from today, we will celebrate the birth of Jesus. We know that this child will be born. He will teach in the synagogue at 12 years of age and astound the scholars with the authority of His teaching. He would healed every disease among mankind, he would give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. He would speak and calm a raging sea and even raise His friends Lazarus from the dead. The significance of His birth would be magnified at His death. He became a living sacrifice who paid the price for our sins at Calvary. I know it’s Christmas, but can I tell you something, this child would die for you and I. He would be placed in a borrowed tomb and stay there until the 3rd day morning. It was early on Sunday morning that He got up and everyone has the opportunity to be saved because of His broken body and shed blood! The story never gets old to me, thank God for His life, His Death and His Resurrection. He Shall Saved His people.
If you are not saved, just pray this prayer, Dear God I am a sinner, I need you in my life, I believe your son Jesus, lived, died and rose again for my sins and right now I am saved. If you prayed this prayer, find you a local church, connect with them, let them know you prayed the prayer of salvation and you want to become a follow of Christ. If you cannot find a local church, myself and other believers will help you. Feel free to contact me at wspann@quickworddaily.com
