Titus 1:15-16

15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being [d]abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Quick Word: Heart Check!

We live in a world where authenticy is rare even among those who profess to know God. This text translated from the living Bible states: A person who is pure of heart sees goodness and purity in everything; but a person whose own heart is evil and untrusting finds evil in everything, for his dirty mind and rebellious heart color all he sees and hears. 16 Such persons claim they know God, but from seeing the way they act, one knows they don’t. They are rotten and disobedient, worthless so far as doing anything good is concerned.

The Spirit puts forth the call this morning for you and I to check our Hearts.

- A Pure Heart reveals goodness and mercy.

- A Evil Heart is untrusting and finds evil in everything.

- What are our Hearts revealing about us as a Nation, People of God and Indivually?

Blessed are the pure in Heart, for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8)
