Isuaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas to you and your families. Today we celebrate the birth of the savior as spoken by the prophet Isaiah hundreds of years earlier. The blessing that this child is to us is highlighted by his name. The Prophet proclaim His name will be called:

- Wonderful

- Counselor

- Mighty God

- Everlasting Father

- Prince of Peace

How blessed we are that this child has come into the world. Because He has come we have the blessed assurance of knowing that He will save His people.

If I could add to His description, the season saints in Georgia in my youth called Him:

- A mind regulator

- A way out of no way

- A shelter in the time of a storm

- A rock in a weary land

- A burden load carrier

- A bridge over trouble water
