2nd Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Quickword: Practice People….
We live in a country where being divided has become a way of life. The political divide between the Democrats and Republicans is as large as I’ve ever seen. I watch in disbelief the time wasted over Issues that we should easily find common ground. The act of compromise has become a sign of weakness when it in fact it is a sign of strength. In the final instructions to the Church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul urges this faith community to come together. I believe Paul’s instructions are as relevant today as im
days gone by. We are divided along race, gender, sexual orientation, and economic levels just to name a few. The Covid 19 pandemic has only exacerbated the divide: open or close the business, church or school, wear a mask versus don’t wear a mask, get a vaccine or don’t get vaccine, mandate or no mandate. The division are worldly divisions, Paul encourages the church and believers to:
- Be complete: where there is division as believers work towards reconciliation.
- Be of good comfort, be of one mind; listen to one another.
- Live and be in peace with one another and God will be with you!
Here are a few words or phrases that have and continue to help me live in peace. I’m sorry, excuse me, no that was my fault, will you forgive me, of course I forgive you. I have learned over the course of my life that God has a sense of humor. You see everywhere I’ve lived and worked, God has placed practice people in my life, you know, practice persons are those people that work your last nerves. What I’ve learned is that until I learned how to live in peace with the practice people in my life God keeps sending them. But when we apply the principles above, I’m a witness that the God of love and peace will be with us. So today, be on the lookout for your practice person(s) and love them with your words and actions, some to the point of loving the “HELL” out of them. You can’t do it alone, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Just a little secret, you and I are practice people for somebody! I’m praying for you today, Be Blessed!

I like this!!! I learned many years ago how to deal with Practice People, as I spent over 40 years in Corporate America and still work in Corporate America. Plus I've been in Church Leadership over 29 years. My success came dealing with Practice People, when I took on the attitude of asking myself, before I act or speak, WWJD😃. Deacon James
