Exodus 3:11-14 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
12 So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’
Quick Word: Sent by I Am
Have you ever been given an assignment that seemed overwhelming. That’s where we find Moses in this text. He had been tending to his father-in-laws flock on the backside of Mt . Horeb, when God caught his attention through a burning bush and spoke to him. God called Moses and instructed him to go to Pharaoh, The Egyptian Ruler and tell him to let the children of Israel go. Moses after pondering what God called him to do ask two questions, first vs. 11 Moses asked God, who am I to go to Pharaoh and ask for the release of the children of Israel? Second, Moses askEd God when I go to the children of Isreal and they ask who sent me and what his his name. What shall I tell them. Tell Them: - God never gives us an assignment without supplying the anointing!
- When God anoints us we can speak to the rulers of this world with power!
- When God sends us to the oppressed, we come in the name of the I Am God!
Whatever God has call us to, know today that we can claim the victory in the name of the I Am God. There is nothing to hard for God, say to the Pharaohs and your doubters; I’ve been sent by I Am!
If God gives us an assignment, he's given us what we need to complete it. No matter how big the task may seem, to us.
