Colossians 3:23-25

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for[a] you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

Quickword: Serve Unto The Lord

This week while at breakfast, my wife and I have been served by the same young lady. The body language of this lady indicated that she did not want to working at this restaurant. She and my wife engaged in a conversation where she revealed what are true passion are. Due to the circumstances of Covid and the need to take care of her family, she had left her previous job because of the hours it demanded and she needed to focused on her family. Yet it was clear that she didn’t want to be present in the current place. I watched and listen as my wife encouraged this lady to seek God for direction in pursuing her dreams, to go back to school, to volunteer to gain experience she needed for the career she really wanted. Currently she was just going through the motions of life. This Quickword is to encourage someone else who maybe just going through the motions that wherever you and what you are doing, don’t just go through the motions, serve unto the Lord.

- The challenges of life are real

- The character of our relationship with Christ is revealed during the tough times

- The circumstances in our lives can changed in a moment by the Grace of God.

My brothers and sisters, life is precious, don’t just go through the motions, whatever we do, even in trying times, let‘s give our best and serve , not unto man but unto God. While we wait for God to open a door, praise Him in the hallway. I believe there is nothing God will withhold from His children, just serve Him. Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose”. Serve Unto The Lord!
