Job 8: 9 For we were born yesterday, and know [c]nothing, Because our days on earth are a shadow.

Quickword: The Fragility of Life

My Brothers and Sisters with each passing day, I become more aware of the fragility of life. Each passing day is a gift from God. Not to be morbid but even as you read this short post, someone will take their last breath. A spouse will say farewell to their life partner for the last time; Children will have to make preparations for a parent who‘s soul has taken flight, all of us will at some point and time will experience the sting of loss and the inevitability of our own transition from this life to life eternal.

- Live your life to the fullest, experience the loving presence of God.

- The time we have is fragile, there are no guarantees on how much time we have left.

- Tell someone you love them, hug your spouse or significant other; call your mom and dad, spend time with your children.

Our time on earth is like a shadow, it appears and then quickly vanishes. Life is fragile, handle with care. Love unconditionally, laugh out loud, forgive and ask for forgiveness, think, read, travel, worship, fellowship with one another, let your words be gentle and your actions noble. If you have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, today is a good day, tomorrow is not promised. Earthly life is temporal, Life after death is eternal ! The good news for all of us is that we can experience the presence of God through the Holy Spirit now and look forward as believers to spending eternity in God’s presence.
