2nd Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Quickword: The God of Comfort

My brothers and sisters, there will come a time in all of our lives where we will face trails and tribulations. The blessings among believers is that we are blessed by the God of all mercies who gives us comfort.

- We are blessed through Jesus Christ to be connected to the Father of all mercies and the God of all comfort.

- We are comforted by God during our times of trails and tribulations.

-We are called to provide comfort to those among us who are in trouble.

We are Blessed to be comforted in all of our trails and situations by the Father of all mercies, the God of all comfort. I have lived long enough and experienced both the highs and lows of life to know that God is ever present. Yet beloved, it is during those periods of trails and tribulations where we are benefactors of Gods mercy and comfort. He is a God who shows up in the most difficult times of our lives. He gives us the strength to comfort those among us who are in the midst of trouble. I’m looking for one witness this morning who will join me and proclaim that if it had not been for the Lord who was on our side, we don’t know where we would be. Thank God for his mercy and comfort!
