1st Samuel 2:2 “No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.

Quickword: The Solid Rock

Hannah after given birth to Samuel dedicates him unto the Lord. It is out of God’s mercy that allowed her to give birth that she rejoices and offers praises unto God. I give God praise today for what He has already done, yet I lift praises and offer prayer in anticipation of what God is doing even now and what He will do in the past. Hannah proclaims:

- No one is Holy like the Lord

- For there is none besides Him

- Nor is there any rock like Our God

My brothers and sisters in spite of the challenges that we face we too like Hannah can offer praises unto God. You see, God is Holy, there is none besides Him, nor is there any rock like our God! So today no matter what we are facing, we can take courage in standing on the Solid Rock!

The hymn writer penned it best when it was written:

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.

So today and in the days to come, let’s us put our hope in the Solid Rock.”

The solid rock is Jesus Christ….

***Thanks to all of you both far and near who are sharing with me in this journey to write a daily devotional everyday for a year. We are a few days past halfway (day 186). I ask for your continued prayers in the days, weeks and months ahead. May the Grace and Mercy of God be with you and your family and love ones.***
