Acts 2:14-16

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only [e]the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

Quickword: The Word Preached on Pentecost

On the day of Pentecost, after the arrival of the Holy Spirit arrived, men from

different lands with different languages were able to communicate with one another. There were some who were present who began mocking the move of the Holy Spirit saying that these men were drunk. This is where the Apostle Peter stood and began to preach ( Acts 2:14-39)

-The word of God was preached and Peter explained what was taking place was prophesied by the prophet Joel that whosoever calls in the name of the Lord would be saved.

- The word of God was preached and Peter call those who would hear to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin. Those who needed the call would also receive the Holy Spirit.

- The word of God was preached and three thousand persons received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The word of God is still being preached. I encourage you if possible to make your way to a church where the preaching of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is being preached. If you can’t make to a sanctuary, the word is being preached virtually, find a church to worship with online this Sunday morning. If you have not accepted Jesus, listen the word, read the scriptures for yourself, or talked with someone you know about the plan of Salvation. I’m a witness, it’s the best decision you will ever make!
